Auto-Gard T is a urethane system with an integrally textured top coat. It provides a consistent, well-textured finish with good anti-slip characteristics. The integrally textured top coat eliminates the need for silica aggregates, reducing health risks from silicosis. This system is ideal for high production applications.
Auto-Gard T
Single component, solvent-based urethane system with an integrally textured topcoat
System Overview
Innovacoatings T-Systems eliminate the aggregate broadcast step required for standard vehicular and pedestrian traffic coatings.
T-Systems are integrally textured—they have a synthetic aggregate suspended in the coating. Applicators can install these coatings without broadcasting silica quartz aggregate, eliminating a production step and allowing a higher rate of production over standard coatings.
Eliminating the broadcast step also removes the use of hazardous silica sand on job sites, while achieving a more consistent textured surface and improving slip resistance compared to a system with manual aggregate broadcast.
Saving time is key for applications like renovations and routine maintenance, which are typically completed during a facility’s down time.

Technical Documents
How long does Auto-Gard T need to cure before opening to vehicular traffic?
Typically the coating needs to cure 72 hours before opening to vehicular traffic. In cooler temperature this time may extend out as much as 24-36 hours.
What type concrete curing compounds can be used with Auto-Gard T?
It is best to water cure concrete or use a sodium silicate curing compound. The use of acrylic or other “film forming” compounds will create bond issues and must be removed.
What is the minimum temperature at which Auto-Gard T can be applied?
The coating should be applied at temperatures that are 40°F/4°C and rising during application.
What is the maximum concrete temperature that Auto-Gard T can be applied?
The coating should not be applied to deck surfaces that are =/> 100°F/38°C.
