System Overview
Elasta-Gard M Aliphatic uses our 7490-CA aliphatic urethane as a base and topcoat for a monolithic membrane. It is ideal for institutional, commercial, industrial, and high-rise/multi-family residential applications.
Innovacoatings -CA urethane roof coatings form a seamless membrane for superior durability, flexibility, color retention and long-term protection. They comply with South Coast AQMD VOC regulations. They are typically rolled, but can also be sprayed (contact Innovacoatings for information on spray equipment). Our 7490-CA aliphatic topcoat has high UV resistance, and is less likely to chalk than an aromatic coating. It has high tensile strength and chemical resistance, which prevents failure due to expansion and contraction of the system, and failures around critical areas like penetrations and flashing.

Is a moisture analysis required prior to the installation of Elasta-Gard M Aliphatic?
No. A moisture analysis is not required for metal substrates.
Are seam details required for the Elasta-Gard M Aliphatic system?
Yes. All horizontal seams should be detailed with 70690 urethane mastic applied at 80 wet mils at 4” wide. All vertical seams should be inspected and treated as necessary with 70991 urethane sealant or 70690 urethane mastic.
Are Innovacoatings urethane roofing products single component or plural?
All Innovacoatings roofing urethanes are single component products. Some of the recommended primers may be two component.
What warranties are available for Elasta-Gard M Aliphatic?
We offer Material Only and Labor/Material Warranties for 10 and 15 year terms.
Do you have to be an approved applicator to install Neogard warranted systems?
You do not have to be an approved applicator to purchase material and receive a Material Warranty. You must be a Certified Applicator to receive a Labor/Material Warranty.
